A concrete company was using a competitor’s RS80 chain with homemade top rollers made from RS80-2 connecting links. Due to the harsh environment (dust/sand/heat), they could not properly lubricate the chain as the lubrication would cake up on the side plates, not reaching critical points. The chain lasted six months. Tsubaki recommended Speed Master due to its added wear-resistant properties of the hard-chromed plated pins and quad riveted design, enabling the chain to handle side impact better. The result was 2.5 years of life and cost savings of almost $7,000.
